The core of the SUBKICK is a 7-ply 10″x5″ birch/mahogany shell, inside which is a specially developed low-frequency pickup system.
Thanks to its large surface (16 cm diameter), the system can capture even the lowest frequencies of a bass drum with precision and reliability (50Hz-2000Hz). The SUBKICK was specifically designed to be used in combination with a standard kick mic set and, when used in tandem, delivers extremely powerful and punchy bass drum sounds of an unprecedented quality. It has also proven itself excellent for miking floor toms, basses, or deep brass instruments.
Since the positioning of the SUBKICK significantly affects the sound produced, experimenting with various placements can be quite rewarding. Depending on whether the system is placed directly in front of the bass drum hole or at different distances from the drumhead, it provides a range of high-quality drum sounds with varying tonal characteristics and volumes—suitable for both live and studio use.
The SUBKICK stand, equipped with a ball joint clamp, ensures quick and precise positioning of the system. Three legs and a tom clamp provide excellent stability.
